Fit details that matter for women

Women's hiking packs in this slice use a hipbelt and torso length scaled to a shorter back. The Tempest line at 11L, 30L, and 40L shows this with a hipbelt that wraps the iliac crest instead of sitting above it. Shoulder straps are narrower and curve inward to avoid pressure on the chest.

Sizes run from 9L to 40L. The 24L and 30L packs work for day hikes, while 34L and 40L cover overnight trips. A 9L or 11L pack is for short walks or as a summit pack.

Materials and build

Fabrics are lightweight nylon and polyester with water-resistant coatings. The 30L and 40L packs use a suspended mesh back panel to keep the pack off your back. Hipbelt pockets on the 24L and 30L hold snacks or a phone.

The 34L Downburst uses a simpler panel-load design with a fixed lid. The 40L Tempest Pro adds a floating lid and side compression straps. The 11L pack is a stuffable design with minimal structure.
